Compressor 4.1 keeps reporting, "Failed: Video rendering error: 3" on all HD settings. Why?

Compressor 4.1 keeps reporting, "Failed: Video rendering error: 3" when attempting to process any of the HD options.I can get it to work with an MPEG-4 setup I created. What is error 3? How to fix?
