Anyone else having sudden incoming authentication errors with iCloud mail on Android?

I can send but not receive. I am using the stock Android e-mail client on my S4. Icloud mail has worked fine up until today. Today I cannot authenticate to imap.mail.me.com. I'm being asked for my password, which has not changed. Authentication fails regardless of security type selected, and I even tried also changing the port to 993 when trying TLS or TLS (accept all certificates). System status page says e-mail is in the green.

Having same issue accross my iPhone (setup icloud email manually) as well as Outlook 2013 on my pc. Keep asking for password while password is correct and able to login icloud.com. I have noticed that if icloud account setup by icloud control panel (non manually on outlook) on pc or Non manually on iPhone, it will work. icloud status showing as normal at the moment, hope someone have a fix soon.

Similar problems on an Droid RAZR MAXX, starting at around 12:30 EST - server authentication issues for incoming and outgoing servers. Tried resetting password for Apple ID and still didn't work. Mail works on new Macbook Pro and iCloud web interface, but also not on my older Macbook Pro where the mail settings were set up manually (and working fine yesterday). Very frustrating, but relieved I am not the only one with this issue. If anyone finds a solution (perhaps Apple will remedy?), please post. Thank you!

Like the others before me, I am having the identical problem that the OP is having. I even contacted my mobile service provider tech support to see if they had any information about this, or had been given some kind of heads-up that iCloud was no longer going to work with the Android email app. I am running Jelly Bean (4.1.2) on a Galaxy SII. I did all of the troubleshooting things that I (and my provider's tech support) could think of; Tried to reset password, that failed. Tried sending test email to iCloud using another email client and checking iCloud.com in browser, that worked fine. Tried removing accout from Android email app. and starting from scratch, that failed, even after clearing the email app data in the application manager. Tried using TLS instead of SSL, that just sat and spun its wheels. Never authenticated. Up to today, I have had zero problems accessing my iCloud email using the Android email app. for over 18 months. Then today... well, you know the rest. I am not an IT guy, but it looks to me like something must have changed on the iCloud server side. Either by desing or otherwise.

As has been said before, I suppose that there is some consolation knowing that I am not alone, but this is pretty damned inconvenient and frustrating.

Another one here. My Galaxy Nexus no longer will validate the email and neither will an old iMac running 10.6.8, however all other devices still are working (iPad Air and newer iMac on newer system.) I am upgading rhe old iMac to Mavericks 10.9.1, but no client mail app on the Android seems to work at all. Worse yet, on the Android browser, I cannot log into iCloud and check mail either, like I still can on the old iMac browser.
