Q: I can't connect to my I-tunes library on my computer. Home sharing is enabled on both the computer and the Apple TV device. I can stream NetFlix and YouTube so my WiFi network is good. Help!

Hi. I all of a sudden can't listen to my I-Tunes library on my Apple TV. Everything woked fine before today. Home sharing is enabled on the Apple TV and in I-Tunes installed on my Windows 7 machine. I can stream NetFlix and YouTube over my WiFi network and watch through my Apple TV. The message on the Apple TV says to turn on home sharing. Anyone out there know what might be the problem?

I have thee ATV's in the house and have had this problem several times and It's always a router issue. Try rebooting your router and the ATV. I finally ended up replacing my router with a top-of-the-line Netgear router, assigning static DNS addresses to all my devices and I have not had any problems since.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it might be the router, so I unplugged it and let go through a hard re-boot. Result: still no access to my I-Tunes library. So, I went back into the I-Tunes settings menu on the computer and found that Password protection somehow got enabled. I turned it off and Bingo, my library is accessible through my Apple TV.

I have ATT U-VERSE TV & Internet service. The wireless receiver also would not talk to the wired DVR/tuner. So, I had to unplug the ATT internet router, the ATT U-VERSE TV wireless gateway, the wired DVR/tuner and the wireless receiver and let them all re-boot. Everything is now talking back and forth and is working good.

I don't know what caused all this mischief, but I'm relieved that everything is working again.

    Thanks again for your response.
