Q: photos will not appear in icloud,

i have gone into my i cloud on my computer, there is no icon for photos, or apps! i have contacts calender etc. is this normal? i have followed the instructions to back up photos but still no joy!! can anyone advise please.

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4

Yes photo stream will send photos to the cloud so you can see them on other devices, but not at iCloud.com.

 

If you want to see them on another device, you need to be logged into the same account and have photo stream enabled.

 

On a mobile device you can see your photos in the Photos app, on a Mac you can see them in iPhoto.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

     

    If you mean at iCloud.com, you aren't supposed to see your photos there. If you have it all set up correctly, you will find them in iPhoto on your computer.

    thanks for the reply winston, should i be buying the app i photo, for my phone? or in itunes? sorry im new to this!

    iPhoto is for a Mac, if you are using a phone, your photos can be found in your 'Photos' app.

    it thuoght if i set up an i cloud account, i could send pics taken on my i phone, to the icloud? i have set up storage backup in the setting's, and it does have the option to backup photo's in icloud? 

    what am i not doing?

    i understand now many thanks,i have found the photo stream and all the photos are in there!! lol

    i am about to get an i 5s , will my photos appear in my stream on the new one once i have enabled photo stream in the setting's?
