iphone vs ipod help

I recently activated an iphone 3g and used a previous apple account. This account is also used by my son for his ipod touch. He is now recieving my text messages. I deleted this account from my phone and registered my own account only to find he is still recieving text messages that are sent to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
