HELP! My Macbook Air keeps randomly turning off!

I have a new Macbook Air that I got in 2013. The problem I am having is that it keeps randomly turning off on me! I don't know what is going on. I will be searching something on my computer, leave it idle for a couple seconds and then it just turns off!! I push the power button once, I try typing on the keyboard, I push on the little mouse pad..and IT STILL DOESNT TURN ON! I always ALWAYS have to hold down the power button to restart my computer!!! And I know turning off your computer this way is not good for it...

Is something wrong with my laptop??? Do I need to take it in to someone? This laptop is only used only for school so I don't play games on here or anything like that. I am just tired of completly restarting my computer THE WRONG WAY!

If someone could please help me out on this issue that would be GREAT!

Thanks!
