Q: Student who receives "blocked" message does not show up in the blocked list.
I worked with a student, who attempted to enroll in a course that he was inadvertently blocked from by the instructor. The teacher might have unblocked him, or he may never have appeared in the blocked list in the first place, I'm not sure. The consequence, regardless, is that the student receives a blocked message on his iPad, but the teacher cannot unblock him because he does not appear on her blocked list within the course manager.
I tested the iPad/iTunes U installation by logging the student's Apple ID out, and logging myself in, then trying to enroll. Voila, it worked for me. Deleted the course, logged myself out, logged student back in, tried to enroll again under his Apple ID, voila, blocked message again.
Our two options at this point is that the student creates a new Apple ID to enroll in the class again (not convenient because he has purchases and courses already connected to the current Apple ID) or the teacher creates a new course, and has the entire rest of the class enroll in the new course.
Can someone shed some light on this?
I can supply an e-mail address of the associated Apple ID and the enroll code for the class, if I am contacted by Apple support.
