My ipod nano 7g updates and syncs but won't turn on!

My ipod nano 7g has 2 months of use and then it didn't turn on for around 6 months, after I tried EVERYTHING, today it finally was recognyzed by itunes and synced and updated, however it won't turn on!. according to itunes it is fully charged, but the screen remains black... I really need it to work, any ideas of what it might be?

How to reset an iPod nano (7th generation)

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button until the screen goes dark. The Apple logo should appear after a few seconds, then the Home screen should appear.
