I want to down load latest update for gmail on my Iphone and when I do, the apple ID that shows up is an old one that I do not remember the password to. How do I change the apple ID for an app I down loaded over three years ago

iPhone 4S, iOS 7

You would have to buy/aquire the app using your new account.

Why did you start another account?

You cannot change the Apple ID, the app is permanently tied to that ID. You will have to delete it and download again using your current Apple ID.
