Q: I updated and now when I try to log into my facetime or iMessage it says facetime activation please check your network and try again. What should I do?

This happened to me as well.  I was able to go into setting, general, date and time and reset your date and time.  I was able to log in after that.  What the heck the date and time has to do with iMessages is beyond me, but it worked.  Someone else had posted to do this in another discussion.
