I'm installing the iTunes app and keeping getting errors.
first error to appear is the "MSVCR80.DLL" and the second Error 7 (Windows error 126)
Any clues to the next stpes to resolve this issue?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

I was having all the same issues along with the same error messages. I tried the solution posted by turingtest2
and it worked. I had to follow the above listed steps on all 3 of my windows computers. And it worked.
When I follow your guidance until step 3 Un install Apple Mobile Device Support : "Fatal Error during Installation "
came out... then i cant do any uninstall step further
What should I do
This worked for me. Apple: get your act together. A simple "yes" to upgrade shouldn't waste hours of my time trying to fix whatever you messed up.

Alternatively you could just go back to your last restore point and restore and wait until APPLE figures out how they screwed up yet again and fixes the update ... yeah like that will happen.

sAme this ..... freezes when i connect my ipod then i cannot open it at all

I have followed the advice from 'turingtest2' and the fix worked completely with no issues found so far so I suggest others using windows 64bit 7 configuration should try the fix for themselves. It is worth the time to finally find that the fix works. Good Luck and thanks to 'turingtest2' for his help.

I've spent last 3 hours reading all of your posts etc. as I have the same problem. I tried EVERYTHING, really and still cannot uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support 😟
Uninstalled all other apple files though and tried to reinstall iTunes after rebooting and it still does not work.
I tried to do that a few times and it seems that it cannot be done without unistalling this bloody Apple Mobile Device Support !
Do you have any more advice, because I am on the verge of giving up 😟
