The key seems to be deleting a file or setting or registry key that is hanging up the program.

There seem to be residual file/files from attempted (but failed) installations or uninstallations.

Manually deleteing everything related to Apple of iTunes seems to be step one.

Running antiviral software to check seems logical (mine didn't find anything)

An independent file cleaner of some sort (I used CCleaner) can be very helpful (over, simply, OS utilities).

    Others are AusLogics, Norton's .......

Registry repair (same programs) makes sense.

Once you are convinced that your computer is free of Apple files (see turingtest2 list of the important ones), go back through the installation process (preferrably 'as Administrator') --- get to that by 'right click' on the '.exe'

The user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates contains the most recent advice. Try again starting with the second box.

Actually this issue is a pain Ukn@w where...

I did what it says on the original post and didn't work, then tired of searching for a solution, tried my own.

Removed all the apps listed including iCloud CP reboot, then went to regedit, delete all the apple soft related I mean (ALL registers) then go back to the explorer and deleted the iTunes folder in music 30.3 GB or so... and reinstalled.

    Fixed.

And that's why I hate all related with güindous; I love my Mac but I have to work with 'em at the office.

    Yeah that ***.

Your solution worked beautifully.  I Also had the problem with Adobe CS4 Bridge, so I deactivated my license and uninstalled the whole suite. After that I reinstalled Itunes and everything is working like a charm. Didn't have the problem on my Ipad, only on my PC.

Would you have any suggestions on finding problem opening a program.  I have DesignPro 5.5 on my office computer and when I try to open it, it immediately closes. I don't remember the message I get.  I have the same program on another computer and don't have the problem, except when I open a product label the header (top section) which is the product group and company name and address is missing. The bottom section with stock number, and product name is missing.  The lable(s) were originally created in Corel Draw 9 and were imported as a jpeg. I have uninstalled the program on my office computer several times and reinstalling. When I reinstalled today

the program opened up and the files were fine. When I tried to open again later on, the problem reoccured. There is something I need to look for that is either missing or corrupt, but don't know where to look.  Avery Dennison is not supporting this anymore. Any help would be appreciated .

Hi, Good to know you got iTunes fixed.

The general advice of uninstall, reboot, reinstall works nearly all the time. When it doesn't it can be hard to track down why not. You may get lucky if there is a meaningful error message that somebody has written up a resolution for. With the "working" unit and the labels I'd be thinking of some sort of margins issue, but I don't actually know the software you're talking about.
