Jan 25, 2014 11:16 PM in response to music lover14by jumbo7j7,turingtest2,
I followed the fix procedure but it still doesn't work.
DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still getting Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error as well as error 1114 and R6034. And to install again.
There's no way to remove Apple Mobile Device Support, trying to reinstalling iTunes i receive R6034 error, and then I cannot remove Apple Mobile Device Support.
I have Windows 7/64bit, what am I suppose to do now?
Can't believe to use iTunes again I need to format my HD, this is just unacceptable, specially from Apple.
Thank you

Jan 26, 2014 1:14 AM in response to turingtest2by MightyPapa,First, thank you so much for helping us out, Turing.
As I was following the unstall orders, I received this message "Fatal error during installation" when I was unstalling Apple Mobile Device Support. I really wanna sync my iPad and iPhone soon if possible. What should I do?

Many users have found that even though they couldn't remove AMDS if they carried on with the next steps it all got resolved in the end. Otherwise try working through the steps in HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. There are a few extra wrinkles in there that most users don't seem to need. You may need to reboot in safe mode to delete items that won't go otherwise.

Jan 26, 2014 8:08 AM in response to Kimmi83by acces23,Hi,
I'm following the HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP guide and I can't get to delete the Apple folder in Common Files folder (specifficaly the Apple Application Support one). It sais that other applications are using it. As it said on the beggining of the guide I had to remove it on the Control Panel, but I couldn't find the program, even using the execute command, so there's only the folder. The problem's there, as I've uninstalled everything and everytime I reboot Windows i get the C++ error. HELP!

Magically, after posting this, the folder got deleted. I am reinstalling again but the Apple Mobile Device Support won't get installed. I'm ignoring it. It says Apple Application Support is not found, so I have to uninstall and install again. ??????????

Jan 26, 2014 8:22 AM in response to turingtest2by Charlie Cambridge UK,Thanks for your post. I followed the instructions and it went well on my Windows 7 PC. All back working ok now.
A further comment is how come we are all subjected to such incompetence from a big operation like Apple?
Or is it the old Apple vs Microsoft war games?
Mystified of UK.

Apple TVYou're welcome.
Someone elsewhere has made the sensible observation that the current problem might not in fact be a fault with this installer, but a heretofore unknown issue with a component from an earlier build that wouldn't remove itself when it was told to go. To err is human, to really screw things up use a computer.

Jan 26, 2014 9:08 AM in response to turingtest2by dude1963,On this date, 2 hours of my life I won't get back because of an iTunes update that was a complete GOOBER!
You were the light at the end of that tunnel!!
1 Million bit coins for you, sir!
Your fix was simple, easy to understand, straight forward. It worked like it was supposed to. I have my iTunes back up and running. The rest of my Sunday is wide open.
Take the rest of the month off, you deserve it.

Jan 26, 2014 9:20 AM in response to turingtest2by E.Pena,Searched in the forums for the same problem and wanted to say thanks for the tip. This never happened to me before and looks like others are having the same problem.
Luckily everything was restored (music, iPhone, Appleid, etc.) back to normal after re-installation. Sounds like a software issue after the update? Thanks.
