Hi. I have an issue with the effect of my damper pedal when I am recording into LPX.

Hi. I have an issue with the effect of my damper pedal when I am recording into LPX. The notes keep on ringing like they haven't got Damper-pedal-off signal. I am using roland FP-5 as input unit.

I experienced this with the first version of LPX once and then after a couple of weeks since updating to 10.5 it sort of just stuck at the bad behavior!

Please - Does any body have a clue where the bug might bee!?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Might try this, be sure and delete both files. Also, use the tilde ~ in the path name (as shown).


Delete the Logic 10 preferences file AND the shared control surfaces file.

In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro User Manual for details on how to do this.


If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro.
then delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.

I did some try out on how the problem apears!


It seems that when I launch LPX with a blank project I am promted to select a softwareinstrument, and that would be Clasic Electric Piano - if I start palying that one everyting is good! - pedal functions ar prefect :-)

The trouble apears if I need an Acoustic piano. The moment i use the sustain function it will ring on until I press play - (btw is'nt there a Panic funtion) The little dot in the transport display is showing pedal on and of as ususal

When I switch back to EP the sustain works fine again - so the problem seems to relate to Acou. pno's.


Could this bee a bug?
