Q: "iTunes" has an invalid signature. It will not be installed.

Apple Software Update prompted my to install the lastest version on iTunes 11.1.4 though it stopped and gave me an error message:

"iTunes" has an invalid signature.  It will not be installed/

Why is it giving me this error?  I am using Windows 8.

    Hi SCnthelife,

    Welcome to the Support Communities!

I would suggest checking your internet security settings on your Windows computer.  There may be a setting in there regarding signatures.  Then download the software directly from our website.  Save the file first, and then install it.

I have this very same problem. Using Windows 7 Home Premium, fully updated 64bit, and no matter what I try, I keep having this problem for iTunes update 11.3.1. I find it telling that there are a lot of entries about this problem when you Google it, going back several years across several operating systems. And no help from the mighty Apple. I guess they want you to go to the "Genius" bar so they can charge you for something that should work by itself.
