Creating Aperture Presets

Aperture 3. New imac, 27” i7. I’m trying to figure out how to build (create) an Aperture 3 Adjustment Pre-set using various Adjustment Bricks. I use the Select All, Photos - Add Effects - Quick Fixes - Auto Enhance feature all the time. This function gets me about 75% of the way through my editing process. I want to create my own Pre-Sets where I can select the Adjustment Bricks and settings I want to use. I went to an Apple Store today and talked with their Aperture specialist who said I could NOT create my own pre-sets from the various Adjustment Bricks. I find this hard to believe. Help!

The manual page Kirby pointed to explains the procedure very well. Defining your own effect presets is really quite easy. Just an example:

This image has three different effects applied - white balance, enhance, and iPhoto's "Matte".

From the "Effects" drop down menu I can save this combination as a new effect with "Save as effect". And then move it to my collection "Leonie's Effects" by using "Edit Effects".
