Q: What does it mean when it says my iphone has timed out when I'm trying to sync my iphone into itunes?

It's just as my question asks. When I plugged my phone into my computer and waited for it to sync into itunes, a message pops up and says that itunes counldn't continue cause my phone has timed out. This happened before that is why i haven't used the itunes in a while. Can someone please help me solve this problem? I really want to download music and videos into my phone.
