ipad 2 wont charge or turn on, just fuzzes

I recently went on holiday and mistakenly forgot to put my ipad on aeroplane mode while on the aeroplane, and from arriving at the destination it just went dead fuzzy and loads of different colours as it was not working, still to date it wont charge or turn on, is there anything i can do to fix it or do i have to go to the shop and get it repaired, and if so.. what cost would that be?
