Waterdamaged European Iphone 5, available for out of warranty replacement in the US?

Hey,

Im wonderig if someone is certain if the out of warranty replacement Will work on my European iphone 5 in the US? And if it does, how much will it cost?

And its very important that your certain and not guessing since ill travel to the US and dont know if i should buy à new one now or try the first option.
