Jan 24, 2014 5:12 AM in response to Kramerjn01by Hilaryrotheram,Thanks, but I've tried that in itunes click on devices in sidebar and the phone name comes up but only with 2 options, synch and transfer purchases.
I wondered about the phone settings, but I don't want to reset as I have stuff I might lose. I only want to change the name back.
It must be possible as the 'friend' managed it and he doesn't have an itunes account.
Any sggestions welcome.

That will let you edit the name.

Jan 24, 2014 6:44 AM in response to Hilaryrotheramby Hilaryrotheram,Thanks everyone, but when I link my phone to itunes I don't get the summary tab uner the phone name in the same way as illustrated. Maybe because it is such an old model. I have tried everything on itunes. I can only access it at all under Devices.
Do you think if I reset all settings in the settings of the phone I will lose more than I gain?
