I want to install Microsoft Project on my MacBook Pro OS10.9.1. I believe I have to first install Windows using Bootcamp. However from other threads this seems problematic. Please advise

It should be pretty straightforward if you follow the Bootcamp install instructions. The problem most people have is using an old or wrong version of Windows. If you use a current 64 bit version you should be fine.

Or, you could install Windows using a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox.
