Hello, having problems synching my iTunes to my iPhone 5

Hello, having problems synching my iTunes to my iPhone 5. Songs loaded from CD transfer or partially transfer and each one has a red circle or "bullseye" to the right of the song title. When I click on the song to play it, it fast forwards and the red circle goes grey. Conversely, any purchased songs from iTunes synchs and plays easily. Any suggestions?
