The question is, when you say you purchased something online, where exactly did you do that? It could be coincidence, but it could also be an issue with the site where you made this purchase. Did the site where you made that purchase request any personal information from you that might be related to that social media account? Were you on a wifi network that does not require a password when you made that purchase?
