my pop3 mail is set and i set notification but when my phone is lock notify it's not appear until i go to my mail and pull it down to search

my pop3 mail is set and i set notification center but when my phone is lock notify it's not appear until i go to my mail and pull it down to search for new mail. i need the notification when i have the new mail.

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.1

Requires that your Mail account support Push, & POP3 accounts do not support Push.

so what can i do ? how about imap but before that i had a iphone 4 with this mail,but for new mail i had a notification in lock screen but now in 5s i couldn't see my new mail in lock screen.
