My iphone 5 was stolen and I think they put their sim card into the phone can i trace it with their wi-fi credit?

So couple days ago my iphone was stolen and i know about my iphone tracker because i've downloaded it and registered my device with it

but obviously the theif will take my sim card out will I be able to track the iphone with their own sim card if they have internet credit on their sim card.

Have the police been notified? It could be dangerous to track a thief yourself.

If FindMyiPhone was turned on, you can trace it as you said, the thief cannot turn that off (iOS7). He can not use it. You can send a message and make your iPhone a dead brick, as soon as he iPhone connects to internet. Tell the police where you see it.
