From the beginning of using Mavericks, these three apps have appeared in the available software updates. I'll update all three; they'll show below as updated, but the next day all three will show as available updates. This happened with the .01 version and now again with the .1 version. How can I force software update to "register / recognize" these three apps as being up to date?

Do you have any external drives attached that the apps are also installed on - perhaps a clone for backup? This sometimes causes the App Store to keep offering the updates.
No external drive . . . it just dawned on me that the old versions (iWork 09) are still in the Applications folder. I've just trashed that folder . . . will see if that stops the notification.
I had the same problem with iMovie 10.0.1. Sometimes re-indexing Spotlight works. Apple has removed the 'Hide Update' option. Perhaps you might send them feedback and request they restore it.
Try re-indexing Spotlight.
