with newest itunes upgrade this am, my devices no longer connect despite rebooting or reinstalling.

After upgrading the newest to version of iTunes, my iPad and iPhone are no longer connecting. I cannot see them in the iTunes device window. The devices do show in MyComputer

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, Windows 8, 64
