"Messages not Delivered" but you are asking about where to put the phone number to use as the contact address?

If you want to link your iPhone number to Messages and FaceTime, this should help.

You have to sign out of both apps on the iPhone and the iPad and then start over again by signing in on the phone first. Then your iPhone number should be available to use in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You will select the phone number in that setting.
