Feb 2, 2014 1:51 PM in response to ariddelby ilkaflood,Thanks ariddel, you're right, not everyone is in the developer class. Some of us are 62 yearold grandmas who have no clue how to fix this. So, Apple better get going and fix this for those of us who are technically challenged.

Feb 2, 2014 3:44 PM in response to ilkafloodby pcbugfixer,G'day ilkaflood,
Technically challenged ?, rubbish I say.
You can use a Computer and I think you can also follow clear printed instructions because Apple will not bring out a fix, as they already have !!
How about going to the respective hyperlink for your operating system.
This is the post and I recommend that you expand the OS applicable to your System.
Its a pain in the rear having to do all this, but it works ☺
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
or
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
When you have loaded the respective link, remember to "Expand all " option at the top just above the bold black "Overview", print a hard copy of the instructions and when you follow each Stem 1, 2 and 3 and tick off the task as you have completed each item, also remember to reboot after each step, i.e. after Step 1, then 2, then 3, before you start using iTunes again !.
I have folowed them on at least 37 different windows operating systems and they work !!
I suppose you could call me a 72 year old Technically Un-challenged Grandad and if I can do it, so can you.
I was going to offer and do this for you, alas the Admin of this Forum will not allow me to give you my TeamViewer number or Skype ID so we could communicate.

Feb 3, 2014 9:38 PM in response to penelope184by jeetu6600,This also work100%
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components
If applicable, disconnect any iPod or iOS device and close Microsoft Outlook.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later).
Remove all of these items in the following order:
- iTunes
- Apple Software Update
- Apple Mobile Device Support (see note 1 below)
- iCloud (if present)
- MobileMe (if present) (see note 2 below)
- Bonjour
- Apple Application Support
- C:\Program Files\Bonjour
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
- C:\Program Files\iPod
- C:\Program Files\iTunes
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
- C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod
- C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
Download the iTunes setup file and run it to install. Use an account with administrative rights. This can usually be achieved by right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting Run as... or Run as Administrator. In some cases a combination of Shift or Ctrl keys may be required for the option to show, or it may not be necessary.
If you deleted iCloud and reinstalling iTunes doesn't automatically reinstall it visit iCloud Control Panel.

I have no idea why you are making all these posts in reply to the original "penelope184" post ?
Obviously you don't or have not taken any notice of what penelope184 has posted on the original.
She has fixed the problems a long time ago !!
