iTunes genius: Your password cannot contain spaces.

When I try to turn on genius, Itunes wants me to sign in. I type my email and password and

I get the error "Your password cannot contain spaces."

Does that mean I have to change my password to one without spaces to be able to use genius? Or is this some kind of error.
