deleting tv shows from iCloud

I have tried many times to delete an unwatched TV show from icloud. I cannot seem to do it. When I purchase and download anything, it trigger the entire TV series to download. HELP! I have IOS 10.9.1 on a the retina display Mac Book Pro. Thanks!

MacBook pro, Mac OS X (10.6), also have a dinosaur G5 and iPad
