Q: Restoring from backup not working. Help....!!!!

I'm trying to restore my computer after a genius deleted my entire contents today. My computer is not prompting me to restore from backup and when I use time machine it doesn't allow me to click on the restore button.... What else can I do to store me computer back to normal?
