How do I install Mac App Store?

Hi guys,

I'm on a Macbook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5.8.

I have bought Mountain Lion.

In order to redeem my software purchase I need the Mac App Store.

But I am not on a recent enough OS to install the Mac App Store (I need OS X 10.6.6 or later).

My software update on this computer says I have no updates available.

So how do I install a more recent OS X in order to download the Mac App Store in order to install the very software that I have just purchased.

It seems that I'm in a chicken and egg situation?!

Thanks so much for any help.

You will need to install Snow Leopard (10.6) via the DVD, and then update through "software update" to 10.6.8. Check the Apple link below for requirements and purchasing info.
