"fault, registers" genreally indicate a bad module or incompatible modules.Your 2010 Mac Mini 4,1 usesPC3-8500 DDR3 unbufferednon-parity204-pin module1066 MHzIf you have upgrade it with different RAM, then you need to reinstall the original RAM modules and order the correct ones. Or if you have not upgrade the RAM, the you may have a bad module that needs to be replaced.For quality RAM upgrades, go to either OWC macsales.com or Crucial.com and order RAM for a Mid 2010 Mac Mini.

I did upgrade my RAM, this must be it, I thought I had checked the specifications thoroughly, they were bought about 3 years ago but will check all of the with the original RAM installed. Thank you very much for the response.

I have reinstalled the stock ram, still getting the same issue. I have reset the PRAM and SMC etc. Having trouble with the hardware test as my superdrive has decided to not read the disc. Any ideas what else this could be?

KP&#x27;s can be caused by many things including failing HDs. I would recommend running Apple&#x27;s Hardware Test in extended mode at least 2-3 times back to back. If errors appear then take it in to your local AASP to determine what the hardware fault is and then your can determine the course of action you want to take.
