Keynote update to 6.1 Issue - Please Advise

App Store shows Keynote is available to update to 6.1 (I am currently running 6.01). However, when I select update I keep getting a warning stating "An error has occurred". (An included explanation would be nice.)

I did notice that it appears as if the update may be in process? (See pic below). Not sure. I do know I can open both versions of Keynote: '09 v 5.3 & 6.01

Not sure what to do.

Please advise.

This is on my Mac Mini running Mavericks 10.9.1

I have tackled this problem. Hope it's helpful to your guys.

first ,delete keynote application by removing it to the trash box

second, open app store, give the MAC system a few minutes to update your application data of your MAC. when this is done, u will find that keynote disappeared in your app store purchased tab.

third, search keynote in your app store, reinstall keynote 6.1

In January 2014 many users had issues with the App Store; the trade press reported that it was an issue with the App Store, shortly after the publicity the problems went away.

Recent posts with downloading issues are that Keynote is not listed having updates available. This is cured by deleting keynote and emptying the trash.

Are you saying you get exactly the same "An error has occurred" message ?

I have had the same problem with Keynote, Pages and iMovie. I got the error message when I tried to open any of them. Had the same indication in Finder as JCWarrior shows. The App Store app shows nothing on any of them, either that they have been done or need to be done. I just rebooted my iMac and now when I double click on the progress icon in the Size column of Finder, the App Store opens and the progress bar starts to fill in. Now, at 7:15 AM EST, all the apps have downloaded and will open. However, there is no indication in the App Store that they have been updated.

On my MacBook Pro, all the updates were done automatically, and show in the App Store. Maybe Apple had a problem and sort of fixed it.
