Jan 26, 2014 7:04 AM in response to the_dude771by IdrisSeabright,Do you have a completely different Apple ID from your ex? If you don't, change the password on your Apple ID.
Sign out of iMessage on both devices. Sign back in on your phone. Wait until it activates completely. Then, sign in to iMessage on your iPad. If you're not sharing an Apple ID, you shouldn't get any of her messages.
Best of luck.

Jan 26, 2014 11:04 AM in response to Texas Mac Manby the_dude771,what i am curious about is this... is this the only thing that's linked to my account? she won't see my emails i send or other texts right?
-
Jan 26, 2014 2:02 PM in response to the_dude771by IdrisSeabright,★HelpfulThe things that are linked to your Apple ID are iMessage, Facetime, iCloud and purchases made from the iTunes and App Stores.
Your ex won't be able to see your text (SMS) messages. If your using an iCloud email account, she might be able to see that. She won't be able to see other email accounts (unless she has the passwords to those as well). If this was a particularly acrimonious break up, changing passwords to all your accounts might be prudent.
Best of luck.
