Need help diagnosing kernel panic error-10.7.5 2006 Mac Pro

The kernel panic went away when I removed my external firewire and usb drives. Thank you very much.

Any or all of those kernel extensions could be the cause.

Remove or update them.

I think it's probably the com.Cycling74.driver.soundflower file. I was in the process of uninstalling logmein. It was not fully uninstalled. My guess is that was the problem. I will reconnect everything back up and see how it goes.


All of those removals are easy to do except the last one. I have a sas raid card that's been in the Mac Pro for a couple of years. I run a sas to sata cable and connect it to the backplane (logic board). I get the speed of sas instead of sata-1 through the logic board after upgrading my four internal hard drives. Then I use the two sata ports directly on the logic board because I can't boot off the raid drives. This raid card does not support booting. It's worked quite well up until now. Just need to make sure I have good backups. 😉
