Help me with Find My iPad

So the other day I turned on Find My iPad and then i lost my iPad a day later.I tried to find it with Find My iPhone on my iPod. then it said that my iPad was offline when it was connected to the internet. Then i went into Setting > iCloud then scrolled down to Find My iPad and it was turned off. So the thing is that it turned off by itself. I did not put in a password or anything (which you have to put your password in to turn it off) Can somebody please help me from this happening all the time? And BTW Thank You In Advance.

iPad, iOS 7.0.4, iPad Mini

Your post is extremely confusing.

What would make you think your iPad was connected to the internet when it was lost? In fact, the WiFi does not remain on at all times - as a battery saving measure.

How could this happen if your iPad was lost? Did you find it?
