problem safari 7 with open vpn

hi , i have a big problem on ios maverick and safari 7 on it . in my country some sites like facebook , twitter and google plus is blocked , so we have to use a vpn or proxy to open this sites , now the problem is when i connect to my Open vpn in viscosity ( third app for open vpn connecting ) with UDP protocol , safari doesn't open any pages , but chrome does . i tried Kerio vpn , in kerio vpn safari opens sites and even facebook , but it doesn't open Twitter and google plus , with kerio vpn chrome , safari or any browser doesn't open twitter and google plus , so i tried use Proxifier and an https proxy account , the result is same as the kerio vpn , none of my browsers opens twitter or Google plus .

i didn't have this problems on Mac mountion Lion or earlier version of mac , but seems in mavericks there is some changes that doesn't let me to work well with any VPNs .

i should say the PPTP protocl vpn is blocked on my country too so i can not use it . i can just use Open vpn , Kerio vpn or Https ( socks ) proxy . so i just want to know how can i make this vpns works in maverick like what i use in Mountion Lion ?!! why in Mountion Lion there is no problem but in maverick does ?! is there any option for changes ?

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.4

maybe you are right , but my problem is not jus viscosity , as i told in the first post i have same problem with Kerio vpn and Https proxy and ... , when i use any proxy then i should be able to reach twitter and Google plus , but i can't , and as i told before i don't have this problem in Mac Mountion Lion , so it must be something in Maverick and safari 7 , i don't want to solve my problem just in Viscosity case , i want to be able use any type of VPNs like mountion lion .

Double-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

www.twitter.com

Launch the Network Utility application.

Step 1

Select the Lookup tab and paste into the address field (command-V). Press return. Post the output that appears below – the text, please, not a screenshot.

Step 2

Select the Ping tab and do the same. Please enter the same input as you did in Step 1. Don't use the output of Step 1 as input to Step 2.

Important Note

Some web browsers and mail clients will automatically convert a domain name such as "www.example.com" to a clickable URL, such as http://www.example.com. That will interfere with the test. If necessary, edit the input in the Network Utility window to remove any added characters.

Ladies and gents, any update on this matter?

I started encountering a similar problem out of the blue just after updating to Maverick. The VPN server I try to connect to worked for a while and then suddenly stopped. Add to that several other websites in chrome and safari.

The websites, including the vpns home page, will always give an error "not found". Pinging gives, for the vpn, "device not configured". I tried different internet networks as well as switched between wifi and lan and nothing helped.

Hi All,

I wanted to report the same issue, i use witopia VPN services, connecting with the native VPN of the MAC and also Wiropia's own application (Which is a kind of openVPN).

whenever i am connected to any gateway (Say in USA or Europe or whatever) chrome works, everything workss, except Safari!!

I am on the latest Mavericks OS, with the latest SW update of everything, on a MBP late 2013 Retina.
