I am unable to delete movies that i rented and watched from my ipad. there is no edit button to delete and they have not deleted after 24-48 hours.
how do you delete them?

What you see is only the history of your rental.

Swipe right to left then tap delete box.

the rentals are not stored in the ipad because the cloud icon is on the titles. i cannot delete the rental movie icons.
You are only seeing the history; it's not taking any space on your iPad.
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Videos (do you see you rented movies?)
I need to delete rental history. Use my work iPad for business trips. Rent movies with my own account. Don't want them knowing I am using the iPad for my own personal use even though it's for plane trips that are work related. Any way to do this?
No, there is not. Your history is associated with your Apple ID and password. It is assumed that anyone with access to your Apple ID and password has legitimate access to your history.
But I signed out of my Apple ID. And when I signed out, the rental history is still there. My work has there own Apple ID.
