Viewpointlog.log file

Every so often I have a file pop up on my HD that is titled "viewpointlog.log". I know it would help if I could state when or how often it happens, but I can't. It is very random and seems to happen without notice.
I can tell you that is is 0kb in size. Under the "kind" tab, it states that it is a "LogFile". When I double-click the file, it launches my Console, but there is nothing written.
Also, I drop the the file into the trash but I have to input my password before it will let me empty the trash.
Does anybody have an idea why this file keeps being created without my knowledge?

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

Unistall Viewpoint Media Player
To unistall Viewpoint Media Player:
1 Close any open web brower.
2 Locate and delete the
Viewpoint Media Player directory from
HD/Library/Application Support/Viewpoint Media Player.
3 Locate and delete the
MTS2Runtime.dll alias from HD/Library/Internet
Plug-ins/.
4 Empty the deleted alias and directory from your computer’s trash bin.
