Jan 29, 2014 12:48 AM in response to dalek9001by K Shaffer,There is a chance the card you bought was half-defective, because those use an integrated wi-fi + bluetooth card that attaches to the logic board; a model for the mid-2005 iBook G4 looks different than earlier Extreme models that plug into a slot.
So perhaps the seller would take it back or exchange it for a tested-good card.
Also there is a possibility that some wire or connection in the iBook G4 mid-2005 you have, is damaged and can't read the combination card. Since the image you tried to load was in .png, and does not load, you could change the image to a .jpg & then it should, if you follow their instructions to add an image to a post.
My iBookG4 has a wi-fi + BT card that does not plug in (unlike the
one in link) & resides on the logic board. And so far, it still works.
From what I can tell, it is held in place by a screw & has tiny wires.
Good luck & happy computing!

Jan 29, 2014 2:43 PM in response to K Shafferby dalek9001,Firstly, the card is the one that is mounted to the logic board and the seller was nice enough to send me a new one, not that it matters anymore because the computer's graphics card burned itself out, so really there is no point to this discussion anymore since the laptop no longer functions at all.

Yet, those too are repairable, for much less than a new board.
...Just be careful of static shock when handling logic boards...
Pros have nice repair workstations now that can fix anything.
Good luck & happy computing!
