I want to add annotation to my iMovie video. The effect is as shown in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0vwcsAcnYI, where the guy puts some text anywhere on the screen.
The usual text effect selections don't seem to do the job, because they all insert the text in predefined spots of the screen.
I don't find any documentation on this either from available videos or the iMovie help. Can someone send me a pointer where to look.

I should also mention a couple of more things.
1) If you have Final Cut Pro X and Motion, this becomes simple (once you go up a steep learning curve).
2) It is possible to do this in iMovie. One of the most popuplar ways is detailed in Karsten Schlüter's post here.

3) Another way to get text effects in iMovie is to do them in Keynote and then use a green screen effect, as you can see here. You would want to take a still image from your movie into Keynote to line up your text where you want itl
