How can one tell the date a picture was taken (iPad2) ?

I have over 600 pictures on my iPad (Version 6.1.3). Have not yet updated to 7.0.4. Just how can one tell the DATE each picture was taken ?

There's seems to be no picture info either when viewing or in camera roll view.

IOS 7 shows the dates and locations of all your photos including those taken with IOS 6. My first photo is of the person who sold me my iPad, April 30, 2013, at Kahala Mall. All that info is with the photo. IOS 7 takes some getting used to especially the look. For me, IOS 6 was good, IOS 7 is better. Some people hate it, most take it in stride. Stop by the Apple Store to have a look in advance, keeping in mind if you do upgrade you can't go back. After a month I doubt you would want to.
