Q: How about getting photos OUT of photo stream and back on an iOS device so I don't loose them?

I don't have a Mac and have purchased a new device.  I don't use iTunes either (nor do I want to)!  I believe this should be possible using ONLY iOS devices.  It may be possible but it is not intuitive or readily apparent how to do this.

iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.4

A:

1. Launch Photos and choose a photostream photo you want to save then: Select the “Action Arrow” button on the bottom left.

 

2. Select > Save to Camera Roll. (You can select multiple photos by taping to check the shown thumbnails, Swipe to browse more). Every photo you check will be saved from the photostream to the device Camera Roll.

 

3. Go to: Photos > Albums > Camera Roll to view the saved photo(s).
