My Maps app consistently shows distances in meters. How can I view distances in miles?
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9)
menu > System Preferences... > Language & Region > Advanced... > Measurement units: US.
Maps needs to be closed and re-opened.

This does not work for me. My Preferences are set to USA, but my map distances still come up in Kilometers. I closed and reopended the Maps programs and rebooted the computer - no change - still kilometers.
I am having the same issue. Maps works in miles with iOS devices, but not with OSX.
How can I change distance units to miles in Maps?
