You can also try to insert a SIM card from another provider to find out.

I bought a new iphone 5s and that is the phone i use now and my iPhone 4S is out of service... so can it still unlock like this? because I went through the process like in the email, but I never received a confirmation email like you said would happen... so did I do it wrong?

Jan 27, 2014 10:34 PM in response to xooxlaurr07by Ingo2711,You can still get the old phone unlocked, if unlocking is supported for your device by your carrier. If you still have no confirmation from them, ask them again, sometimes it takes a little longer to process an unlock request
