Q: I can't restore my Iphone I get this message when trying, unknown error ocurred (2001). what can I do?

My Iphone is not operating. I've tried holding the home button and wake but it won't work, the apple just keeps going on and off the screen. I trying restore through I tunes but Iget the following message :unknown error ocurred (2001)

    I am having the same problem. I followed the steps in your link and Itune says the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I press restore, it extracts software then says preparing, then waiting for iphone, then it stops and the same error message (2001) comes up. My phone has the apple symbol on the screen when connected to a wall charger and the connect to itunes screen when it is connected to the computer but other then that it is not doing anything. Its been like this for weeks now. Please help!
