Feb 18, 2014 11:05 PM in response to jeremy_vby steph0thy,I am having the same problem. I followed the steps in your link and Itune says the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I press restore, it extracts software then says preparing, then waiting for iphone, then it stops and the same error message (2001) comes up. My phone has the apple symbol on the screen when connected to a wall charger and the connect to itunes screen when it is connected to the computer but other then that it is not doing anything. Its been like this for weeks now. Please help!
