How can I sync my Android to my iPhone?
When I got my new iPhone, I was told to take my SIM card from my Android and save to my Desk top, then sync to my phone. It is not syncing so a step must be missing?
iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.4

Are the SIM cards the same size? The only thing you would be able to get off the SIM card to the iPhone is contacts, if they are saved on the SIM. There is a setting to import contacts from the SIM, but again that would require the physical SIM card to be inserted into the iPhone. Saving data on the desktop of your computer from your SIM card will not do anything for syncing to your iPhone.
if i am correct in saying androids and iphones are not compatable so you cannot sync the data from your android onto your iphone
You need to sync your Android to a contact manager on your computer, then sync the iPhone with that.
Or, if you used Google Sync on your Android, set Google Sync up on the iPhone.
The SIM card hardly stores anything - at most one name and one number per contact, but most smartphones don't use the SIM at all.
